چکیده

Abstract Recent studies have revealed multiple roles of insect-associated microbes such as lignin degradation, entomopathogen inhibition, and antibiotic production. These functions improve insect host fitness, provide a novel source discovering beneficial for industrial agricultural Previously published research found that in the symbiosis formed by dipteran pest Delia antiqua (Meigen) (Diptera: Anthomyiidae) its associated bacteria, bacteria showed effective inhibition one fungal entomopathogen, Beauveria bassiana. The antifungal activity those indicates their potential to be used biocontrol agents phytopathogens. In this study, we first isolated identified with D. using culture-dependent method. Second, tested these against four phytopathogens including Fusarium moniliforme, Botryosphaeria dothidea, two oxysporum strains dual-culture total, 74 species belonging 30 genera, 23 families, eight classes, phyla were identified. Among Ochrobactrum anthropi, Morganella morganii, Arthrobacter sp. 3, Acinetobacter guillouiae significant volatile F. B. both oxysporum, respectively. Moreover, Rhodococcus equi, Leucobacter aridicollis, Paenibacillus Lampropedia contact oxysporum. Our work provides new

Screening of Antagonistic Activity of Probiotic Bacteria Against Some Food-Borne Pathogens

The objectives of this study were to assess the microbiological quality of Egyptian yoghurt and to investigate the antagonistic activity of some probiotic bacteria against some food borne pathogens in vitro and in yoghurt. The results indicated a poor microbiological quality of yoghurt, since the microbiological parameters recorded higher values than the admissible levels. Results from the agar...

Supplementary catalogue of the Anthomyiidae (Diptera) of China

The present catalogue of Anthomyiidae attempts to list all species (173) described or recorded from mainland China (165) and Taiwan (8) that for various reasons are not treated in "Flies of China" from 1998. The catalogue further lists Chinese species that are presently standing in new generic combinations compared to those of "Flies of China", species that have changed name because of synonymy...

Antagonistic activity of Streptomyces gresiofuscus PTCC1628 against isolated Gram negative bacteria from Urinary Tract Infections

Antibiotics are the best known products of actinomycete. Over 5,000 antibiotics have been identified from the cultures of Gram positive and Gram-negative organisms, and filamentous fungi, but only about 100 antibiotics have commercially been used to treat human, animal and plant diseases. The genus, Streptomycete, is responsible for the formation of more than 60% of known antibiotics. Bacteri...

Antagonistic Activity of Bacillus Bacteria against Food-Borne Pathogens

Foodborne pathogens are among the most significant problems in maintaining the health of the population. In 2011 the CDC estimates that each year roughly 1 in 6 Americans (or 48 million people) gets sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die of foodborne diseases. The leading causes of foodborne illnesses in the United States are Salmonella and Shigella [1,2]. Staphylococcus aureus is among ...
